That's right. College classes start on Monday. But, ECE has a teacher workday, so there are no high school classes, or buses to and from campus. What an odd start, in my opinion. My advice to students is if you have college class on Monday (check your schedule because many of you don't) then you need to make every effort to be there, especially if it is a developmental math (DMA) class. Have absolutely no way to get to class? Do not fret. Yes, not being there will count as a college absence, but the college is aware of the early college student's situation. Send me an email on Monday if you were unable to attend you college class, and I will contact your instructor, just to again remind them of the situation. But, remember that the absence is still counted as a college absence! One you eat your college syllabus, you can check to see that instructor's attendance policy and plan out your semester. Best of luck on Monday!!! I'll see you on Tuesday. Hooray!
ECE has purchased student planners for all 9th and 10th grade students for the 2013-2014 school year. It is mandatory that all 9th and 10th grade students utilize the student planners to organize their time and assignments. Student planners are available for purchase for any other student and/or staff member for $5. Any 9th or 10th grade student who loses their planner can purchase one for $5. Come by Mrs. Weaver’s office to purchase planners. |
